Register by Monday to Vote in OneCity’s Mayoral Nomination!
In early February, OneCity members will get a very unique opportunity that no other Vancouver political party members do: voting for the person that will be nominated as the OneCity mayoral candidate in the 2026 Vancouver municipal election.
The Race to Choose OneCity’s Mayoral Candidate
Choosing a good mayoral candidate is critical to show that OneCity is serious about bringing progressive, responsible and transparent decision-making back to City Hall, tackling problems that affect all Vancouverites, especially those who are often neglected by politicians, and building a more affordable, livable and sustainable city. OneCity’s mayoral candidate will become the face of the party and lead the party’s City Council, Park Board and School Board slates in this year’s election. Given that most Vancouverites think that the city is on the wrong track and someone other than Ken Sim should be mayor (Leger, Dec 2025), whoever becomes OneCity’s mayoral candidate will make a difference in this battle for the future of Vancouver.
Thankfully, two amazing individuals have stepped up to the challenge:

Having met, chatted and crossed paths with both candidates multiple times since last fall, I have been tremendously impressed by how insightful, sincere, compassionate and forward-thinking both Amanda and William are. Both mayoral nominees have shown incredible passion towards building a city that works for the many, and not the few. While they have differences in their backgrounds, experiences, perspectives and policy focus, I am confident that either candidate will make an incredible mayor for Vancouver.
I would strongly encourage all OneCity members to make an informed decision by checking out both mayoral candidates’ websites, social media and featured articles. You can also learn more about both mayoral candidates through this page on the OneCity website or this interview conducted by the Cambie Report. You should also attend one of OneCity’s upcoming events if you want to meet with and talk to both candidates in person!
