Town Hall with Iona and Fabian

Fabian Contreras, a fellow OneCity City Council nominee candidate, joined me to co-host a townhall where we opened up about what it's like to run for office as people of colour, and shared lessons from our professional experience in public consultation on how to genuinely engage ethnic communities.

We also took a variety of questions from the audience over topics like the challenges with running for office in an increasingly contentious political climate, things that caught us by surprise while campaigning, and ideas about reversing the trend of low turnout and engagement in municipal politics.
