  • Founder and current co-chair of OneCity’s Chinese Cultural Working Group; and

  • A small business owner who empowers people to lead greener and healthier lives.

Listens. Acts. Delivers.

Three years ago, I ran for Vancouver City Council with OneCity to build a city for everyone. I was the second-highest voted OneCity candidate (after Christine Boyle), and narrowly missed being elected.

With Ken Sim and ABC, our city has drifted further off course, making it less affordable, less inclusive, and less livable. As an urban planner, community builder, and a mom, I am deeply passionate about providing affordable housing, safe and reliable transportation, arts and culture, and well-maintained parks and community centres. We must also meaningfully act on homelessness, climate change, and reconciliation.

That’s why I’m running again to be a OneCity candidate for City Council. I will use my experience to listen to and unite people, make changes that will make a real impact on people’s lives, and stand up for everyday people including workers, artists, and renters. Together, we can tackle these important issues and make Vancouver a more welcoming, connected, and sustainable city.

To ensure a bright future for my kids and all generations ahead, I must use my professional and leadership skills to organize and show up for a city that’s been heading in the wrong direction.

Actions to Building a City for All

  • Build a Liveable City

Let's enable affordable housing close to low-cost childcare, shops, restaurants, medical clinics, parks, recreation facilities, and arts and cultural spaces across the city.

Let’s create welcoming communities where everyone belongs, connects with one another, and has a space to thrive.

  • Build an Inclusive City

Let's uplift under-represented groups, including women, youth, seniors, low-income households, people with disabilities, and Indigenous, racialized, and LGBTQ2S+ communities. We can do this by making sure their lived experiences shape decision-making at City Hall.

Let's invest in communities like East and South Vancouver that often get neglected. We need to upgrade outdated infrastructure, including pools, ice rinks, and sewers.

  • Build a Safe and Connected City

Let's have infrastructure that makes walking, cycling and rolling safer. Let’s make transit to be faster and more reliable. Let’s also increase access to bike-share, scooter-share, and car-share options. Together, these improvements will make our city more accessible for everyone.

Let’s make our streets safer for everyone. We can do this by expanding speed and red-light cameras to high-risk areas in the city, on top of redesigning our streets.

    South Vancouver Walking Tour

    Mar 14, 2026 (Saturday)

    2 pm - 4 pm

Iona is co-hosting a neighbourhood walking tour with long-time South Vancouver advocate Prabhi Deol!

Inspired by the spirit of Jane’s Walk, this community tour offers an opportunity to learn about the social and cultural histories embedded within the South Vancouver neighbourhood. We’ll be discussing what makes South Vancouver unique and a welcoming place for so many, and how it can be even better with more services and infrastructure to support the community.
